“I am always resistant to saying too much about the stories behind my work.
We all have our own stories, I tell mine in paint.
Each painting is telling a story, but what matters to me is the story it tells you.
Because when a painting captures your imagination, holds your eye, makes you peer closer, and ultimately insists on leaving with you, you have created your own story.
When that magic happens, there is no need for you to hear my story. You don't need it.
So if I don't say too much about my work it's because I'm leaving that space for you.”
