ANDREW CHAN art

Born in Australia, Andrew Chan has achieved b.a & m.a in Architecture from New York University.

He now lives in New York since 1999 and has received grants from the Pollock Krasner Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts and a residency at The Lower East Side Print Shop.

His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, the New York Times and CNN. He has exhibited at the Bronx Museum’s AIM 30 Biennial and at Randall’s Island Sports Center.

His essay “TV cooking shows as pornography” is included in The Gastronomica Reader and was presented at the CAA conference in Chicago and at the inaugural Gourmet Voice food conference in Cannes France 2004.
