- PRESS REVIEWS
Seamus Whitty as Chéri The Citizens Theatre Glasgow
The central performances by Joanna Tope as Lea and Seamus Whitty as Chéri were nothing short of superb. I felt like slapping Mr.Whitty's Chéri, so well was the sneering arrogance of his character conveyed. Still there was boyish vulnerability there, too.
Kenneth Spiers - The Mail on Sunday

Review: Chéri: The Stage Jenny Tweedie
Despite the difference in their ages. Seamus Whitty and Joanna Tope make their unconventional love credible, with Tope taking Lea from the pretence of aloofness to desperate reaches of despair with seeming ease.
It is a beautiful piece of writing, well directed, well acted and well set. In a picture-perfect world, every play would be like this and every old woman would have a toy boy." Jenny Tweedle - The Stage
Seamus Whitty as Chéri, The Citizens Theatre Glasgow - Alan Chadwick The Metro
"Seamus Whitty as the arrogant, conceited 'evil angel' Chéri - is definitely a Mr Big in the making." Alan Chadwick The Metro
