Ella Guru was born in Ohio, USA and has lived in London since 1990. She takes inspiration from the many parks, forest, and waterways in and around the capitol city. She also enjoys visiting the countryside. Her favourite birds are domestic farm fowl like geese and ducks. Her latest work includes a peacock from a farm in Devon, a Red Kite from Berkshire, and a London magpie.
