Richard Freer is a 'specialist of light'  his paintings are energizing and require no added artificial light,  just thriving on natural daylight  and magically taking  the viewer far away to a warm place.   Peggy Brodie, Modern Artists Gallery

Richard Freer says of his paintings:  "My paintings are based upon natural light and colour effects performed by nature. Blossoms  appearing on trees and  each tree seeming  to have its own pallet of  interacting colours.  
Looking into trees the eye has to work with distance by moving into and out of the layers of branches, flowers and leaves and then one senses the smells and the many varieties of tactile textures.
