JANET SHRIMPTON is showing her latest collection of paintings at The Modern Artists Gallery until February 2008
EDUCATION
Fine Art BA Wimbledon School of Art 2001
Janet Shrimpton’s romantic paintings take their inspiration from observations of the everyday, often favouring faces, landscapes and flowers.
With the working drawings and photographs helping the development into semi-abstract paintings Shrimpton adds emphasis on the textural qualities. Resulting in nostalgic ancient fresco panels and distressed walls.
