' there is a soul in the heart of each tiny particle.
When the soul sings, the particles dance – this is resonance.
My joy in sculpting, performance and installation
is sensing that soul more clearly
and magnifying the dance'
Artist StatementMy body of sculpture explores resonance and transformation. Light and translucency fascinate me. The substance of stone, light, flowers, bees, wax, trees, voice and environment are all key elements in the shifting images I create.
Materials are specific to each project as are the processes of making, installing or performing.
My work ranges from public commissions in stone and bronze to installations and performance/ film works. Bronze has become a medium as public works have progressed.
In the last five years I have completed four public commissions in Utah, USA as well as a residency and installation series sponsored by the Arts Council of Great Britain which toured USA to UK in 2004.
I am currently living and working in Colorado Springs USA with my husband and son.
